This calathea has nearly black leaves with bright pink markings. It is a great contrast plant.

To keep this calathea looking its best all season, here are some guidelines for care:
Water regularly. Allow the top inch of soil to dry between waterings. Avoid soggy soil.
Fertilize once a month with a water soluble All Purpose fertilizer.
Remove yellow, damaged or crispy leaves by cutting them off at the base with clean scissors. This plant does not need heavy pruning.
